Barn Quilt Painting Class

with Abby Lyke Hicks of Tweetle Dee Design Co.

October 10th and 11th, 2025

We are so excited to host a barn quilt painting class with the wonderful Abby Lyke Hicks! This is a two day event, with the option to register for just one or both days.

$65 - Friday evening tea and stitch only (Oct 10, 5-8pm)
$100 - Saturday barn quilt class and lunch only (Oct 11, 10am-4pm)
$165 - Both days

Schedule

Friday - Sunflower Star Cross Stitch
• 5-8pm
• Tea, drinks and cookies included
• Embroidery materials provided

Saturday - How to Paint a Barn Quilt 
• 10am-4pm
• Chili and cornbread dinner and drinks included
• Materials to paint one 22" barn quilt provided. She will bring a collection of her barn quilt patterns for you to choose from. 

What to bring/wear

This is an outdoor class, so bring a water bottle, camp chair, folding table (if you have a small one) and sunscreen/bug spray. Wear comfortable shoes and layers (October weather is unpredictable here!). An apron or clothes you don't mind getting paint on is a good idea too.

We also recommend that you bring a plastic cloth or garbage bag to lay your completed barn quilt on in your vehicle.

Materials

Abby will be bringing her beautiful Prairie Paints for you to use during the class. She will also supply brushes, tape, pens, rulers and wipes. 

We will have extra 22" boards for purchase ($55 each) in case you want to paint more than one.
